Self in Contradiction Essay - Part 2

Self in Contradiction Essay - Part 2This essay may seem a little bit too simple, but there are many things that need to be considered and many things that should be weighed against self-conflict. In this installment of my self in contradiction essay series, I will talk about the second in the series of 3 samples. The first sample is from an article by Paul Wolfowitz. The sample also includes a quote from him. If you remember the beginning of this series, you will recall that the self in contradiction theme was introduced with a quote from Tony Robbins. Now we will move forward in time and continue with this quote:Now I get to let him know that it's part of my equation and we get down to some hard realities. It's part of the plan, and it's a great feeling to know that you have a strong sense of purpose and your passion is aligned. One thing that's sure to make a difference. This is definitely a statement that gets your message across, but what do you think the listener will get out of h earing those statements? Does it drive him to take action, or does it make him feel like he can't? Both possibilities exist. We've now moved to the second sample, and we'll see that it uses the same opening. This sample also uses the same closing, but it's not quite as powerful. For the sake of the sample, I will be using it to illustrate the conflict between passion and inertia. What are the reasons for this?First, let's look at the line 'we got what we wanted.' This is a great word, but I think it's also a little weak. People would have to speak the majority of their lives, not necessarily just for a few minutes, to realize the true meaning of this word.Next, let's look at the line 'his sense of his own worth is getting stronger by the minute,' which is strong but also may not be perfect for his state of mind. When he said this, he was probably angry because he thought he had been taken advantage of by someone else. In this case, the number two is most likely greater than the numbe r one. The speaker was not able to grasp the fullness of his motivation, and therefore was unaware of how he felt. There are many reasons for each feeling, and these reasons are all going to have a different effect on the person you are speaking to. These two samples will be enough to get you started in your own self in contradiction essay. You may not always agree with them, but they're a great way to get started.
